Dancehall chanter Killer T aka Chairman released the video for his hit track Bvunza Tinzwe . l have watched the video many times thinking that my eyes would get used to it but I still feel something is wrong.
The video starts off with Killer T at a cemetery, which l feel was a wrong move. Videos really need to go with the songs’ lyrics. What is said in the lyrics should tally with the message on the scenes, that’s why Winky D’s Disappear video received much criticism. The lyrics and the video scenes didn’t match.
Back to Bvunza Tinzwe, l personally feel like the scene where he dies and is put in the coffin should have been the first scene in the video. After he dies he was supposed to go to heaven or be in God’s presence so he could ask him his questions.
The scene with Killer T in the coffin was very nice, it showed high levels of creativity and breaking the boundaries of our imagination, however, it was frightening.
There are some scenes where Killer T is in a church standing in front of his coffin singing. l feel like he should not be the one on those particular scenes. My suggestion is that they could have hired an actor to act in that role. The idea of Killer T being the one who is dead while at the same time being in front of the coffin asking questions about what happens to people when they die etc , is quite confusing to me. The concept really doesn’t make sense to me.
Scenes shot at the cemetery were very nice, they seemed very authentic. The video quality is okay but the track was way too much of a hit to get a video of this sort. As for the scenes shot in the church, I say they didn’t quite give the feel of a funeral.80% of seats were empty and we all know how African funerals are.
