On today’s review we have Feston Jones is a Student, Entrepreneur, an Accountant, a Gospel Artist (Rapper, Poet, Vocalist) well known as Hagios.

Hagios is a Christian Born on the 10th of November, he was raised in the cities of Malawi namely Lilongwe, Blantyre and Zomba.

It was in 2003 whilst still a young boy when he realized the gift of rap in him. He conspicuously recall writing a few bars (lyrics) in his exercise book and showing them to his friend Stanley who encouraged him to take a step further. When he was selected to secondary school in 2004, he started performing covers, at the assembly Hall and other Shows. Then he was not fully emmersed in God so his covers were from renowned artists like Vick Marley, The Real Elements, Exhibit, L.L. Cool Jay, Eminem etc.

In 2005 he had his first studio recording after collaborating with his friends and forming a trio called ​The “SEA”​ which stood for Shakes, Equinox & Armstice (Armistice). And he branded himself as Armstice.

In 2008 he relocated to Blantyre and continued with music when he recorded two other pieces after forming another trio which had no name. Then he changed his name to “J-ONES”.

In 2009 his music was enjoying massive airplay in the ghetto when God finally called him outta darkness, he immediately transitioned from secular to Gospel.

He then started recording his solo project titled ​”I’M A MISSIONARY”​ which was completed in 2010 and released the mix tape in 2013. His music was playing in the Christian radio stations. He started appearing in Christian music circles performing and sharing the word of God.

In that same year (2013), he started getting radio interviews and performing in various Christian youth events, he recalls performing at major youth events like “FOUNTAIN, OF VICTORY CHURCH’S YOUTH ASSEMBLIES, AND OTHER RENOWN CHURCHES’ EVENTS.”

In 2014 he took a break from music for 2 years as he was working on edifiying his soul and delving deeper in the word.

In October 2016, he released his 2nd mixtape titled ​”THE JIL​ – JESUS IS LORD”, he resumed his appearance on stage after releasing ​”THE J.I.L”​ and he is currently working on his album called ​”THE HAGIOSIS”.

He has been appearing in some Gospel functions in Zimbabwe as he will be showcasing his talent as well as sharing the word of God through his music.

In his future projects, he is yet to feature in DreamMaker’s projects, (DreamMakers is a Zimbabwean based musical group).​

As an Accountant, Hagios worked with Life Pharmacies Limited, a retail Pharmacy, in Blantyre CBD where he handled all financial related activities from preparation of financial accounts to tax computations, provision of financial advice, reporting as well as ensuring the entity’s compliance with the Accounting Standards and Financial Reporting Standards. He also served as a Financial Consultant.

As an Entreprenuer, Hagios runs a clothing company selling second hand clothes, shoes and bracelets, he also has his own “HAGIOS MEDIA” a small scale registered Media Company majoring in provision of audio productions, and services such as “VOICE OVERS, RADIO PROGRAMS”, just to mention a few. He also runs a grocery business selling assorted items.

Hagios also works with various initiatives including “PASSION FOR PURITY” under Forerunner Youth Ministries, CREATIVE FOR CHRIST MOVEMENT, FERTILE BRAINS INTERNATIONAL” among others.

He believes in one thing ​”HE CANNOT MOVE A MUSCLE, THINK A THOUGHT OR FEEL AN EMOTION UNLESS GOD GIVE HIM THE ABILITY TO DO SO”​ for this, he owes it all to God. He claims that his dream is so big it will only take God to fulfill.
